I've been wanting to grow baby red potatoes in a bag so today I ordered potato grow bags off Amazon Prime. The 5 bags should arrive tomorrow. By using the bags, I can grow the potatoes on my back deck in the sunshine. No way will I use all the bags so will share with my sister who also wants to try growing potatoes in bags.

I also ordered potting soil so when it's time to plant the potatoes I will be ready. Little by little I hope to have all my gardening supplies by the time I need them.

Connie your tomato plant really did good. I would love to have a tomato plant that would last that long.

Sara, I'm excited for your spring planting list! I had cherry tomatoes until the hard frost got them about the first of December. The plant was
still loaded down with frozen tomatoes!

I think I am about finished with ordering for the spring. The other day Eden Bros had a 20% storewide sale, so I ordered seeds, basil, chives, and cilantro. The 20% off paid for the shipping.

Late Jan - early Feb I will go to Kelly's for red onion sets and seed red potatoes to plant in a grow bag. After the last frost back to Kelly's for one cherry tomato plant so I can plant it with a can of sardines like Connie does. I just want to try it once, may do it again if I have good results.

One more thing. The daffodils I planted in the fall are peeking out so I covered them with leaves.

Lisa, I clicked on the site, and it is so interesting. I added to my favorites so I can visit it again. As far as me being a great planner it's not so much about the planning as having something to look forward to.

You are such a great planner!

I saw over on Wooly Moss Roots that they grew mushrooms in one of those tall flexible type laundry baskets with the holes.
Sounded interesting.

Krista, I think they will be perfect for your kids.

Today Eden Bros had free shipping on select gladiolus so I ordered a set of 20 to be delivered next March. I will plant ten blubs in a round galvanized tub and give the other 10 to my sister.

Sara, those sound neat. I haven't heard of them before. I bet my kids would love to grow some potatoes or carrots in one of these. Thanks for the idea. I look forward to hearing how your potatoes grow.

Thanks for the good wishes, Michelle. Debbie, Nancy, Connie, I guess Farmgirls think alike.

Here's the link to the grow bags I ordered.

I removed the link because it caused the posts to run past the normal screen size of 640 x 480.

How intriguing Sara, I have never heard of planting potatoes in a bag. I am anxious to see how it goes for you. I also have a container garden on my back deck that I grow my herbs and vegies. Sounds like something I need to try. Good Luck and thank you for sharing.
Blessings on this Sunday to you.
