This fern and other plant that bloomed orange clusters survived 2 deep frost, low temps of 26! All my other flowers that were in pots by the fern are gone!

I buy these 2 from my garden center for the last 3 years. They are patio tropical plants from Miami. No name of either plant on the tag.
It will be interesting to see it they last thru a lower temp. Or snow! Which we don't get here every year in West TN.
I love they are still hanging on!

Krista, I kinda feel like when our cold weather stays, we go down to 26 then up to 60 degrees back down to 40.( we get into the teens too) they will wilt!

Connie, that is so neat! You still have beautiful plants thriving in December. We have been getting down into the teens at night. I wonder if they would survive that cold.

Thanks,Debbie!

Thanks Judith! I forgot how hardy Asparagus ferns were. I had one back in the 1970's that lived on my front porch 12 months a year for 13 years.

I am glad to know the name of it! Thanks! I really like it paired with my other pots of flowers.

My asparagus ferns survive frosts well at least down in the 20s. I believe yours is a Meyeri asparagus fern. They aren't true ferns.
