Posted - Apr 20 2024 : 4:57:55 PM My grandmother always had Wisteria. She would prune it to grow into a tree, looked like a Weeping Willow. I'm trying to do that with mine since this dwarf isn't as invasive as some. I have it growing on an arbor and I let a shoot run to the end of the patio and started pruning it into a tree for the last 3 years. Connie W. |

Posted - May 06 2024 : 5:55:24 PM Thank you! It can surely be invasive! You have to keep an eye on it. This is not the kind I grew up with! It is less invasive but can get out of control fast if not pruned regularly during growing season. Connie w. |

Posted - May 06 2024 : 08:42:42 AM Connie, I luv your wisteria ’tree’.. I had one growing up on a stucco wall,, in be knownst to me how invasive it can be! But it was beautiful. Unfortunately I had to have it removed due to the damage it caused… I ended up planting a huge hydrangea bush.
But, I will have to see if wisteria is zone 4a friendly, I have several locations here (away from the house) that I could plant one. Hmmm, thinking, thinking…
