I spent the afternoon pruning all the roses, which has left me with achy hands not to mention some sore butt squat muscles! lol!

Going to reward myself with a mani-pedi today... and a glass of wine tonight..

How do you reward yourself for a vigorous day of gardening?

                | YellowRose | Posted - Apr 03 2024 : 05:34:52 AM Alee, I have MS which causes virago from time to time, and I also have low blood pressure. I figure either one or both could cause me being dizzy when I bend over, or it could be just the fact I'm 82 and everything seems to be a little off these days.

                | Alee | Posted - Apr 03 2024 : 05:20:51 AM Grace- I can sympathize! I have been putting wool and compost under the raspberries. They sure don’t like to be messed with! I have never gone and gotten a mani-pedi before, but I do love to get massages done!

Sara- do you have the condition abbreviated POTS? I have a little bit of it where if I move too quickly from sitting or laying down I can get dizzy or pass out. For me it’s all part of the ehlers-danlos syndrome that I learned I have about 15 years ago

                | YellowRose | Posted - Apr 02 2024 : 09:57:29 AM Grace, I wouldn't describe my day of gardening as vigorous because I am a container gardener. I no longer can bend over because I get dizzy so all my containers are either on plant stands or cement blocks. The few flowers I have in the ground I hire someone to look after. Back to your question on how I treat myself after gardening I sit on my side porch with a glass of Merlot and am thankful for the gardening I can still do. It's not always how much you garden but that you do garden.
