Posted - Jan 26 2024 : 8:26:19 PM Thanks Connie. I actually received the key player award at work that came with a $50 gift card. So I put that toward my rose splurge. Problem is I have 75 more varieties on my wish list at heirloom roses.com :-D |

Posted - Jan 25 2024 : 7:07:40 PM Shenandoah, I think you deserve them! Rare here for us to get this kind of ice and snow! I'm spoiled to having herbs and some kind of flowers all year long! C'mon Spring! Connie#3392 Imagine....

Posted - Jan 25 2024 : 6:58:31 PM Connie I do not envy you! I find it hard enough protecting my plants for the brief cold snaps we get here in South Texas. The last one finally forced the salvias and roses into dormancy. So I impulse bought 8 bare root roses at the grocery store last week ; in my defense they were on my wish list and only $10 |

Posted - Jan 17 2024 : 12:00:19 PM Connie your yard looks like mine. Except we haven't had flowers for awhile now. I am sorry the snow covered all your beautiful flowers. Hopefully spring arrives for you soon.

Posted - Jan 17 2024 : 08:19:27 AM Connie, I hate to see all of your pretty flowers buried under that snow and cold!! I guess it is also Mother Nature's way of giving the soil and other trees and plants a long winter's nap to rejuvenate. We are about 2 months shy of the official arrival of Spring. Tell your plants to sleep tight and rest up for growing season coming soon.

Posted - Jan 15 2024 : 09:39:10 AM Connie, your snow is beautiful, and spring is a coming, but it may take a while for it to get to Tenn & Texas. I saw a cardinal and bluejay today so there's hope for spring. I hadn't seen either in months.
