My flowers still hanging on will be gone in the next few days. Artic blast, snow and a low of 5 degrees on Monday night! Im thankful to have Them this long! Still got sage! I'm going to take it inside and dry what's left. Connie#3392 Imagine.... |

Posted - Jan 17 2024 : 08:48:17 AM I unwrapped my bay and rosemary this morning, they had been wrapped up since Jan 12. Both survived 7 & 9 degree temps. The four herbs I brought inside are now in the sunshine too. The pansies are pitiful looking but they should bounce back with a day or two of sunshine.

Posted - Jan 13 2024 : 10:52:53 AM Connie, your flowers have lasted a good long time and I am sorry that Ole Man Winter is going to send a deep freeze your way! It just isn't fair to these lovely flowers who have lived through our grueling hot and humid summer last year@!!

Posted - Jan 12 2024 : 4:45:15 PM Sara, I was thinking the same thing. Glad I downsized too! Those single digit temps are rough!! On us and the flowers and herbs. Connie |

Posted - Jan 12 2024 : 1:21:09 PM Connie, thanks for sharing the last of your flowers. The last ones are special just like the first ones of spring. I have one container of yellow pansies on my deck, they seem to be weathering the changes in temps. Tomorrow I will bring in my Greek oregano, spearmint, chives, and sage because of single digit temps for the next several nights. The bay and rosemary are in too big of containers so I will wrap them and hope for the best. It's times like this I am glad I downsized my herbs.
