Hi Ladies, does anyone have a suggestion for a diy fertilizer for garlic plants? Appreciate your help,

Harvest garlic when the bottom two leaves on each side have yellowed and died back. Or at least pull back soil and check one, if not ready, leave the rest and keep checking weekly. I think you left last years in the ground too long. But you are correct, it's best not to harvest while wet. We too had very unusual rains earlier in the season. I hope this harvest is good for you. Hi Kelly, I might be able to try something like that. It's up nice and high and looks good, but last year it was the same and then very early on it started to turn yellow. When I harvested it, the bulbs were all opened up some. I can't fertilize right now though, we just got over 3 inches of rain in 2 days! Unreal for this area. So maybe I should wait a bit more for things to dry up. Thanks for your help,

I just heavily mulch with tree clippings. My garlic grows just fine in that alone.
