Posted - Jun 07 2016 : 08:28:29 AM I have to just grin and remind myself... I can spend $100's of dollars putting up fencing or I can go to our local farmers market or organic market and buy my tomatoes... lol! We have a horrendous gopher/ground squirrel population... so when I plant trees/bushes etc... I have to wrap the root ball in small guage chicken wire... i learned the hard way my 1st year up here...the lil buggers would chew the roots right up to the base of the plant... Anybody got a easy recipe for gopher stew!!! Lol!

Posted - Jun 07 2016 : 04:57:29 AM How frustrating to see all of your plans end up as a midnight snack! Maybe put up some high deer fencing around the produce plant areas?

Posted - Jun 06 2016 : 07:49:44 AM That is so frustrating! We have deer, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, etc. to deal with. Occasionally a horse, or sheep or cow. It's never ending! Hope you get some to come back and produce! CJ

Posted - Jun 04 2016 : 10:22:43 AM Oh no! I feel your pain! I have replaced my squash, zucchini, and cucumbers 3 times. My dogs keep eating them, the whole plant! I now have fences around them to save them! Hopefully your wildlife will leave your yummy food alone.

Posted - Jun 04 2016 : 08:35:12 AM Here in the city we have rabbits. These little terrorists eat our plants. They haven't destroyed anything in my garden yet but they have been taking bites out of my lettuces, beans and onion greens. I cannot leave my dog out all day to chase them away. ARGH!

Posted - Jun 03 2016 : 12:09:56 PM Sorry, Grace. We had a baby rabbit in our garden yesterday evening. It was under the pole beans, eating and munching! Marly
