I'm getting ready to try this and wondered if anyone else has given it a go?

It's supposed to be "easy" :)

I've been saving plastic jugs and having co-workers collect them for me as well. DH got me a couple of bags of potting soil and I picked up all my seeds for this year from Rural King today.

I'm going to try starting lettuce, marigolds, oregano, parsley and dill using the winter sow method and we'll see what happens!

If I have enough jugs I may try to get a jump start on other crops just as an experiment - they say you can do beans, cucumbers, etc.

I'm drawn to trying this because of the low cost factor and if it works I'll maybe do more flower seeds next year as a way to cheaply add to our beds. I hate buying annuals!
