ceejay48	Posted - Jul 30 2015 : 3:08:34 PM I decided to try these new beans this year. They are a bush snap bean and are a beautiful burgundy/purple color. THeir blooms are lovely purplish flowers too. To me they taste very much like most green beans I've grown. I had some pieces of raw beans on my lunch salad today and it was yummy. I cooked the batch in the pressure cooker which is how I always cook fresh beans from the garden. Lo and behold! After they're cooked they aren't purple any more! They look like any other green bean! They usually do in the fall and you can purchase them before next spring. I'll check again!! I might just plant these exclusively next year! Forget the others. The packets say "non-GMO, untreated seeds". Used their brand for all my garden seeds this year.
