I thought it would be fun to talk about theme herb gardens. The ones we have created; the ones we want to do; the ones we imagine; or gardens we have read about.

This morning in an 1997 Herb Companion Magazine I came across a list of all the lemon herbs in an article on lemon grass.

Lemon grass
Lemon verbena
Lemon mint
Lemon balm
Lemon basil
Lemon thyme

Why not make a lemon herb garden? Some of the plants would go in the soil and others in containers. That way different soil, water, and sun needs could be met. Containers would also corral the invasive herbs.

A pretty sign with the garden name and bright yellow lemons would let everyone know the garden theme. With plant labels that carried out the lemon theme and a little garden art the lemon herb garden could be quite special.

I'm on my way. I have one plant, lemon grass, out of the six lemon herbs.
