Mary Jane mailed me some of her heirloom tomato seeds and they arrived two weeks ago. Today, I planted them in Peat pods and have placed them in a warm place away from the direct sunlight on my porch. Now we are waiting for the seeds to sprout. This is my first attempt at planting anything from seeds much less heirloom but I am optimistic, out of 36 I hope to get many plants to put in the ground. Here we go...

Mary Jane, I"M SO HAPPY, here is a picture of my sprouts on my tomatoes, won't be long before I put them in the ground.

Peggy, here's my set-up for my heirloom tomatoes, very similar to yours. I already have 40 in the ground and these to go. Right before I plant a plug I'll gently use my fingernails to pinch off all but one plant. To get these started, all I did was stick a piece of the paper napkin with seeds stuck to it (like I sent you) into each of my plugs and voila! tomatoes!!!!
