Paul Stamets is THE MAN when it comes to mushrooms. Check out the Fantastic Fungi website, they have TONS of awesome info there. I don't currently grow any, but would like to eventually. There are tons of them that grow on the mountain where we walk frequently, I'm learning what grows here and what each type of mushroom can be used for as I do want to harvest some this year.

lol... I think it was an autocorrect issue. ;) I have books requested from other libraries in my state. Here is a start:http://www.motherearthnews.com/organic-gardening/grow-your-own-mushrooms-zmaz04onzsel.aspx

Since we have 2 acres, almost all woods, it makes sense!

Thanks, I'd appreciate it!! I think we are interested in starting with sh**ake, b/c their shelf life is longer. Maybe a few Oysters, too.

We took a mushroom growing class 2 years ago and grow them just for ourselves. It is easier than I thought.
