Thanks Carole! I was able to get them in the ground in early May! WE have had rain almost every other day since them. I was worried about too little Sun!

First ripe tomatoes!! Picked this Morning! Potatoes, Sugar Snap Beans and Lima beans blooming! Even though I can't garden on a large scale anymore, I get the same joy from my little one when the veggies are ready to be picked!

Hehehe, Connie and Sara~ seems like us Farmgirls down here in the Hot South are already dreaming about Fall and cooler temps. We have been having 95-100 temps everyday for over a week now and showers are hit and miss. We have been missed so dry everything in our yard is wilting. Looks like more of the same next week. sigh.

Connie, I had to peek in my Fall plastic storage box the other day just for some inspiration!! LOL!! How ridiculous is that???? Or.......has anyone else done the same lately when they can't stand the heat?

Winnie! I thought the same thing!! Thank you Sara and Judith!

Heather, I planted early back in May. It is a little colder where you are, no a lot colder! LOL!!! But now we have rain and rain and no sunshine, that is suppose to change tomorrow for a whole week!!

Lovely garden Connie! Your tomatoes make me hope mine will hurry along. I'm in the mood for some fried green tomatoes, but I only have little flowers on mine right now. I did pick a couple zucchini and yellow squash yesterday though :)

Connie, your garden is beautiful and the scarecrow adds a bit of fun. Winnie's right about a pumpkin by the scarecrow in the fall. All our thoughts seem to lead to the coming of fall.

Oh Connie, your garden looks like it is coming along beautifully! Love that Scarecrow too. Won't he be adorable with a big fat pumpkin beside him this fall?

Thank you ladies! I had to downsize a lot due to health issues and not being able to tolerate the Heat. Sometimes I go out at night and water in the hot Summer months. My neighbor's Lab will hear me from 2 acres away and come and join me and I will treat her to a Milk Bone Biscuit.

Connie, I love your kitties. Ours are indoor cats and are very curious about what's going on out there.
We planted a voodoo lily in the planter box. They are beautiful but give off a real stink when they bloom (only a short time).
