Read a lot of reviews and bought this from Home depot last year. Perfect for small gardens. So excited for the rich compost this year and what I saved from the trash can! Egg shells, all vegetable and fruit peelings, Coffee and tea Grounds. Layers of leaves. and this is what I got!

Also, A Tomato plant growing thru one of the vents!

I use to have a composter kind of like this back in 2006... I had tossed in some yucky taters... and darned if they didn't grow,,, and they gave me the best fingerings!
I spotted something growing in my composter so I left it alone, & left the lid off,,
Before I knew it I had this fabulous bush plant(s)... after blossoms appeared I got curious,,, stuck my hands down in the compost anfd to my surprise and amusment... found taters!

Dawn, we are really pleased with it. We have lots of raccoons also, they have never tried to get into it. I just have this small garden, so it fits my needs well!! Like you, I have the Compost pail in my kitchen. It could not be any easier!

I live in a townhouse next to woods. Lots of raccoons come through. Perhaps this would work for my composting needs. Right now I keep a compost pail on the counter and put my produce scraps, egg shells, and coffee grounds in it. Once it is full I then bury it in the back flower bed & put a heavy decorative concrete stone over it to keep it from being dug up. This bin looks like it would be easier and better to deal with.

Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope you have continued success with it.

Connie, really nice. We have a similar compost bin. Love it.
