Posted - Mar 21 2015 : 1:27:25 PM My husband and I are in the process of making a garden. We need garden gate ideas. If any of you have a garden gate, I'd love to see what it looks like. Below is a picture of a garden gate I like. Marly

Posted - Apr 07 2015 : 3:09:23 PM Grace, how kind of you to post such helpful hints. I love your gate and your metal duck art!!!! Cute!!!!!!! Thanks for posting the picture. I like the idea of the rug. I shall look for one!!
Thanks, Nini. Hugs to you. I'll be waiting for your gate picture. No rush! LOL
The work on our garden continues. One short side of the fence is up. I'll post a picture when all of the fence is up. It may take a while. Marly

Posted - Apr 07 2015 : 10:12:45 AM oh and don't hesitate to use old rugs buy the gate door,,, they make a great weed block... as well as look cute... this one (above) was a worn out old rolled (store bought) braided type rug that had seen better days,, so it worked perfect in the garden...

Posted - Apr 07 2015 : 09:47:48 AM I love the blue gate, Marly! Our garden gate is just some chicken wire and pallet wood - and it, along with the entire fence, is in much need of repair after this long, miserable winter. Maybe once it's fixed and the garden is flourishing, I'll post a picture for you. Our garden gate always ends up covered with climbing morning glory vines and/or string beans... But now I'm inspired. I'll have to come up with something a bit more fancy to welcome us "home" this summer! Thanks, Marly! Hugs - Nini

![](http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/Snitz/Images/2015/04/DSCF9425.jpg?v 57735364) this isn't a great photo, but this was my garden back in Spokane, WA.,,, My DH built the gate and I added the silly metal Duck art work... if you look, at the bottom to the left is a little bunny... our neighbor's bunny would escape and come visit us...

Posted - Apr 01 2015 : 3:34:27 PM Every sweet garden needs a fun gate,,, and it looks like you have found one that suites you, Marly, lucky you. Now have fun making your version of it,,, How about using old cast off Pallets or maybe you can use an old screen door, and just modify it to work w/your garden fencing.
