We have just switched to using well water for our large garden, but our water here is hard, and I am worried about damage to soil and plants over time. Anyone have any ideas for a non-toxic solution to mineral buildup?

Plenty of water!

Get your water tested at the county and see what it has in it. I doubt there will be any damage to soil or plants.
