Posted - Jul 15 2014 : 08:15:54 AM Yes, I went out and found my gorgeous zucchini plant wilted after a nice gentle rain the night before. I knew this was not right, and had a bad feeling. I went to you tube and found videos about how to perform squash surgery, but I never did find the sucker. I took off all of the leaves, covered the plant with mulch, and watered well. Will see what happens, but this is WAR! Next time, I am going to poke it with a needle like Linda did. I kept waking up and thinking about that stupid destructive worm in my pretty plant. I still have some young plants, and if this happens to them to, I will call in the calvary.
"We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.” – R.R. |
