hey Suzann aka mommyof5...
well like you I got hit hard by our local deer... just when I thought everything I planted was safe... Ha! NOT!!!!

sunflowers,,, not safe!

plum tree, not safe...

roses, not safe...

hibiscus... not safe...
uugghh! but at least they have not bothered my lavender! lol!
ok, next year,, I will have my garden fencing up like I did in Spokane...
The raccoons are digging everything up. the deer eat everything on top of the ground and the gophers eat everything underground...
I might have to look for a deer/raccoon/gopher stew recipe or two!

Last year the Racoons got all my peaches. This year I was able to beat them to 6 peaches. My husband planted a few Tomato bushes this year and I have a few Leeks left over in the garden from winter. I did not plant a spring garden this year but I have already started planning my fall garden. I normally have problems in my fall garden from the deer! But that's okay because I love watching the deer since we do not have a lot left around because of all the housing developments popping up around us. I love all the critters but they can be a nuisance from time to time! Your plums look delicious! No wonder they are after them! Those rascals!
