This is my last bouquet from this years bounty! So fragrant! They were beginning to turn brown when I got around to taking a picture but still putting on a lovely old fashioned show:)

Beautiful! This is our first year in our house, so I do not have any lilacs yet. I miss mine from my old house.

Oh Dona,

That is so beautiful! I am still waiting for our Lilacs to bloom. When I was a little girl I used to clip Lilacs and place the vase in my window so I would smell the fragrance as the breeze would blow in. I also tried to make my own 'perfume' but that was not a good idea :)

Thanks for sharing the lovely photo!

Lilacs are my all time favorites! Ours are done for this year but when we first moved here I told my husband if we didn't plant anything else I wanted Lilacs. Then we found already planted on the edge of our woods near the house some white lilacs. We have wisteria all over the lace. It grows up through the trees and hangs like a canopy in the woods. Love the beautiful color of it and the smell too. But nothing compares to lilacs in my mind! Beautiful pitcher you have the in. Love the fresh country look.

Love love love lilacs! That was one of the major things I missed when we first moved from DE to SC! There aren't any down here :( they have wisteria, which still has the pretty lavender color, but I still miss the scent! In DE we lined our driveway with lilac bushes!

What a beautiful picture, Dona! Lucky you to have such lovely beauties and such a great pitcher in which to display them! Quintessential country decor! LOVE it!

I love lilacs, too.. Lilacs and roses are my favorites. And I agree with Peggy - white and lilac together are just so pretty. Our lilacs are just now starting to bloom, despite these past few "autumnal" days (It's been so cold again!). They smell SO, SO good. I think they even make the birds chirpier! LOL!

Hugs -

I Love Lilacs...one of my favorite flowers but I am allergic to
the scent of them...so, I have to just enjoy them on the bush/tree.

Nothing prettier than the White and Lilac together.

Hugs and Smiles,
Peggy
