Posted - Apr 26 2014 : 11:09:11 PM Hi ladies!
I'm a little new to gardening. I have experience with herbs, mostly. I'm looking to possibly get seeds, or even clippings.
Is there anyone who might consider sending me some, or even trading eeds for something else -- maybe something in my shop, perhaps? I only recently learned that swapping seeds is something people do... it never occurred to me, lol.
Again, new to this, so I hope I'm not out of line in asking the way I did... if so, apologies all 'round.

Posted - Apr 30 2014 : 08:23:04 AM Hello ladies,
I apologize for taking too long to reply. I thought I was subscribed to the post, but apparently/obviously was not. I will fix this right after posting.
I have emailed those of you who asked or stated you emailed me.
My garden space is a large yard, plus some space directly in front of our porch. I'm thinking of putting one flower (moon flower), some green onions, and some tomatoes in front of the porch... hoping I can tease the tomatoes into climbing my porch a little.
The garden area is in full sun throughout most of the day, so my garden space will stretch from the edge of our cement walkway and go a few rows back. I want my corn to block the view into our windows as we have no curtains, but it will also provide a few hours of shade for the other plants which need it. Anything requiring full sun daily will go behind the corn. I will acquire DH's help in measuring off a portion of this yard...we need at least half of the yard for our doggies.
Seeds I need:
Corn Eggplant Zucchini Cucumbers Carrots Pinto beans Strawberries Thyme Garlic
These are some that I have thought I would like to plant this year. I am trying to switch to gardening as much of our groceries as possible -- and you ladies would probably know more about what I would need than I. I make a lot of tomato-ey dishes. Taco soup calls for cans of pintos, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce. We also use a wide variety of herbs / spices in our cooking. I already have oregano, basil, and cilantro ready to go.
Thank you once again for all of the help!
