I got these in the mail today and about 10 more coming! I am re-doing my Kitchen Garden this year, I am doing one similar to Susan Branch's. I am just waiting for the ground to thaw to get tilling, I already have the fence bought.
Getting these today made me feel Warmer already!

All my seeds come from Baker Creek. I love them and i believe one of the owners is one of our very own farmgirls. Check it out.

I am also planting all non gmo veggies/herbs again this year. I will pull up any flower not heirloom/organic and replant. My local gardening shop carries many heirloom and organic flower/veggie seeds. All my sunflowers will be organic. I use aged cow patties( from pastured raised cows) to make a " tea" for flowers. I want to invite more honey bees into my yard.

Oh, Connie, those are beautiful flowers! Made me smile for the first time in days. I would love some of your seeds if you can exchange. I am trying all gmo free gardening this year and as much perennial as possible.

Connie, could that be our native Marsh Mallow species? (Not to be confused with the obnoxiously invasive Rose of Sharon.) It certainly is beautiful. The fact it comes back year after year looking as it did when you first got it suggests it is the true native species. I hope you'll try to save seeds from it this year. People might want to swap you for some. That's one of my favorite ways to get seeds. That way, I know I'm getting something that someone near me as grown successfully.

I love the Johnny's Seeds catalog, for good growing advice as well as good non-GMO seeds. The Landreth Seed Catalog is work of art, a real collector's item. Uness you get one in the mail from them with an order, you have to pay for it. They have terrific heirloom varieties. Might be worth ordering something from them online just to get the catalog!

I just placed my order for twenty seed packets from Baker Creek this morning. I am not sure where I will plant all of it but I am sure going to try to find homes for those seeds. Now I can think about how soon I get to start them indoors to give them a fighting chance this spring.

I don't have many plants that go to seed, we have so much woods and not a lot of sunny areas on our 5 acres. I am hoping to have plants in this new area to go to seed.
Teri, you got me addicted to "Sweet Annie", Hook, line and Sinker! I am so hoping to get that started!

I drool over seed catalogs! It gets me thru these Winter days being shut inside, especially so far this Winter! has been COLD for the SOUTH! Territorial Seeds is new to me. I sent off for some new ones that I was not familiar with. I hoard magazines period! So I keep them forever! LOL!

It is 51 today! yeah!!!

This a Heirloom Hibiscus, It comes back every year and multiplies pretty quickly. One of our salon clients brought in seeds. My Granny had these when I was growing up, and her next door neighbor. It gets about 3 feet high. It is nothing like the tropical Hibiscus that you get at the garden centers in Spring.

I got a couple of "new to me" catalogs this year - from "Select Seeds" and "Burgess". The Burgess catalog looks a lot like the Henry Fields and Gurney's catalogs that I've gotten before, and their ads look like the ones included in the Sunday coupon supplement, but the Select Seeds catalog is different. Anyone order from them before?
