Do any of you know anything about growing soybeans for edamame? Do you use regular soybean or is there a specific type? I am planning a garden of produce to sell at our local farmers market and I think edamame would go over well, but I don't know anyone who has done this around here.

Prariehawk is right, not only that, the ones you find in the fields are often GMO as well, I've seen Johnny's or maybe Baker Creek offer Edamame.

If your dream doesn't scare you to death......it's not big enough.

Look in the seed catalogs for "edamame" soybeans, the best ones are from Japan. the ones farmers grow in their fields aren't exactly the same.
