As I've posted about before. My husband and I are trying our hand at growing fruit trees. This is our first year and we put in two pears and two plums.
In the last few days I noticed on of the pear tree's leaves began turning from green to bright yellow. Is this normal? Do fruit tree leaves turn just like ornamentals in the fall, or is this a sign something is wrong? If something is wrong, what is it?
Thanks for any thoughts on this.

Posted - Oct 29 2013 : 3:53:23 PMOur pear tree leaves have all wrinkled up and turned brown. They look dead but they do that every year and we get a summer crop every year. I would try to not worry too much about the trees and just enjoy them. Let's see a picture of the yellow leaves. Have the trees rooted well? 1st year trees need lots of water to be able to establish a good root system. MB
