Does the leaves have to be completely brown before separating? I have been needing to do this to get my space balanced out in front of my deck. Hoe soon can I do this?

Thanx

Lorena, you can divide the plants in the fall or in the spring before the leaves start to return. Now is the perfect time to make the divisions before the ground freezes in your area. Hostas are normally very easy to divide and transplant.
