Posted - Jul 05 2013 : 8:08:33 PM Thanks for your kind words ladies! The hollyhocks are from seeds I bartered for with a fellow farmgirl- Melody. Love them too! The weather here has been gorgeous- sunny and HOT, (actually a bit too hot for my taste) but we really cant complain- after all it is SUMMER on Long Island. Hugs,

Posted - Jul 04 2013 : 07:05:51 AM it's a dreary day (week actually !) here in Ohio so it's nice to see pretty sunshiney flowers...i love the hollyhocks also! reminds me so much of my gramma's house and making dolls out of them!
saw a plant at home depot last week but it was a pale pink and just not "so pretty" to my eye that day!
