I found a post where someone from MaryJanesFarm showed how to build a self watering planter using a horse trough. The only thing I can't figure out is how they wicked the water up into the plants? I saw where some pvc pipe with holes in it were used for the wick, but what is actually wicking the water up? Can someone help, please?
