We went to a pumpkin patch a few years ago and made our scarecrow for $5 using these directions. How fun would it be to organize a fundraiser doing something like this. Needed:
(these items could be thrifted)
1 pair of jeans
1 pair of nylons
1 shirt
1 hat
large saftey pins
newspaper or straw
felt peices
glue and scissors

Theresa - that sounds like a great idea - I love scarecrows, too. I just wish that somehow, someday, scarecrow "season" would come BEFORE all of the corn is harvested around here!!!
I wasn't able to see the photo that I think is attached - would you mind re-posting it? I'd love to see what your scarecrow looks like!
