We started an experiment with bokashi about a week ago. Check out our results, and learn a little bit more, tomorrow on my blog.

Wonderful. I have written an article on bokashi composting. It is nice to see that you made your own bokashi composter too. Excellent job.

Thanks for the information. I use a compost can on my counter top and line it with biodegradable bags for my kitchen compost. I wait until it is full and then bury it in my yard. I had been burying the scraps directly into the yard at my old house & it really livened up the tired out soil there. We moved this July to a townhouse & I decided to tidy things up a bit with the counter top container. I use a decorative concrete stepping stone to cover the holes with to keep the critters, especially raccoons, out. There are tons of worms under the stones each time I move one of them, so it is working here too.

Keep up the good work on composting & reusing everything you can for your soils benefit!
