How do you keep rabbits from nibbling on your hard work? We have pumpkin vines that have been chewed in half, and then we have rabbit poop in the grass in the yards. YUCK! Any ideas on how to rid ourselves of rabbits and their poopies?

I think cats are the best way to control rabbits. And dogs next. But dogs will usually just run them out. Cats actually catch them. I was feeding my backyard goats the other day and there was a dead rabbit in their shelter. At least the cat did eat part of it. Then had a little too much and threw it up. But cats are great at keeping wildlife away. I have never seen a squirrel here.

Here the feral cats have totally decimated the rabbit population. Have not seen one in about 5 years. Sorry you have trouble with them.

Seriously? About the poo? I've been throwing it into the woods! LOL Guess I'll keep it and throw it in the garden instead.

Oh, Krissy! That's TERRIBLE!!! I'm so sorry to hear that! We had a really tough battle with them last year, too. This year, my husband built about a 4 foot fence all the way around the garden. It was made of simple wooden framework with chickenwire, and he dug the chickenwire about 5 or 6 inches into the ground. Not a single rabbit got in... we didn't have moles, voles or groundhogs, either. Oh - and keep the poo.. rabbit poo is actually super good for your garden. :) Hang in - next year's garden will be just around the corner! :) - Nini
