I'm bound and determined to plant Spring bulbs this fall, but I need some guidance. We have a plethora of squirrels around our neighborhood and the last time I planted (300 bulbs), I ended up with ONE daffodill the following spring. Those darn squirrels took every single one and that turned me off for a while. But envy is a great motivator and I yearn for a bright, springtime bloom filled yard after a dull winter, and my neighbors seem to have that....

What can I do to keep those little buggers away from my bulbs?

make/or buy little wire cages, big enough for 2-3 bulbs, add soil, dig hole to proper depth, put in cage, and cover, leave stalks will poke up thru openings, once they are going, add blood meal to soil...
