Posted - Aug 11 2012 : 5:23:00 PM Ok, so call me silly, but I did not know that when growing Cilantro, if you let it flower and go to seed you get......
![](http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/Snitz/Images/coriander.jpg) Coriander Seeds! How cool is that! So today, I cut my cilantro which I had let dry. I put it in a brown paper bag and shook the bag until all the seeds fell off, then placed them in a small canning jar for storage. Now i just have to come up with some recipes to use it in. I am excited to have found yet another way to "preserve" from the garden.

Posted - Aug 12 2012 : 08:39:49 AM Thanks Gals! While I consider myself somewhat "garden savvy", thanks to my dear grandpa who grew amazing gardens all his life, it is amazing how much I DONT know, which of course is half the fun of gardening- trial and error and learning new things everyday! Good Luck with all of your garden adventures! Hugs,
