Found a book titled: Natural Pest Control, alternatives to chemicals for the home and garden by Andrew Lopez "The Invisible Gardener"

I am excited about this book because I am ALWAYS trying to find new ways to rid my garden of pests without bothering the beneficial insects needed to keep it growing organically.

I have found so far that one the main components in the book is that we need to stop using chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Small infestations occur when the soil is no longer alive because the organisms within it have been killed thru improper soil care. When the soil is dead, the delicate balance which nature maintains has been upset.

Very interesting read, if you don't have this book, it is worth picking up. I went to Half Price Books and scooped it up for under $5. The original price on the back was $19.95.

Michelle,

That sounds great! I will have to look into that. I hear ya, I am looking for only organic alternatives. Just got a book as a belated birthday gift from a friend, too: The Encyclopedia of Organic Gardening. Doesn't have much on pest control, so I will look for yours.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Hugs,
Nicole
