Oh my goodness - has anyone heard about these things?

I was finally able to watch a program tonight that I had recorded a few weeks ago. In this particular two program series, they were discussing topics that really caught my eye: GMO's, the international seed bank, UN Resolution 21, fish tomatoes and all sorts of other scarey stuff that I had never heard of before. (Well, actually, SOME of it I learned about through MJF over the past couple of years, of course; for example, the dangers of GMO's and what is happening to small farmers not only in this country but worldwide - scarey!) But some of it was brand new to me - and quite disconcerting. I'm wondering what all of you know about this stuff? The program was extremely interesting, but I must say I might not be sleeping very well for a while.... and I sure as heck am going to look at "off season" tomatoes a whole lot differently from now on!

Did you know that there are actually tomatoes being imported from other countries, that have been genetically altered with fish DNA? Yep! The basic reasoning behind this very odd intermingling of species DNA is to (1) keep tomatoes from freezing in transport and (2) to allow for longer ship times (by boat instead of flying, for example) and keep the costs down so people will be more apt to purchase them at the market. EW! Think of the implications here - what if you're allergic to fish, but the grocer doesn't know - or doesn't tell you about this genetically altered food so that you won't think twice about purchasing that beautiful ripe red tomato in the dead of winter... You could eat it and become deathly ill, but have no idea why. Not to mention the fact that by the time you buy this genetically altered product, it has been off the vine for so long, that what little nutritional value existed in it to begin with!

Think this sounds like science fiction? I did, too! But this is totally real. Look up "fish tomato!" http://www.pbs.org/wnet/dna/pop_genetic_gallery/index.html I know that this article says that this technology is not in use, but the author/reporter on this program I watched said it in fact is!! Blow my mind!

Then what really blew me away was when the guest spoke about these things called "F" Chips. They're some sort of super micro chips that apparently will one day actually be grown or injected into our food that will afford the powers that be to track all sorts of information. And we'd be none the wiser. Just think about the implications for a minute. Mind boggling. I was absolutely blown away by this revelation and had to do some checking myself. At first, I couldn't find anything online when searching under "F chip;" but when I looked up "F chip in food tracking," there were all these websites about the "RFID chips" which blew my mind all the more! Oh my word!!!

I know I didn't fully comprehend or digest what the guest was saying (pardon the pun), so I saved the two-episode program to watch again with my family and to take notes to do some further research; but, here is a link I found to one of the websites that sort of explains it better in a very general way:

http://www.naturalnews.com/032600_RFID_food.html

Have any of you ever heard of this before? It's very real! The said that these chips could conceivably be used after a person's death to help government agencies locate the food source - even SEED source - when dangerous outbreaks of bacteria, etc., occur in the food supply. She also said that these chips can be implanted in medicines so that whomever might be interested will actually know whether the drug has been ingested or not. What at first might seem very innocent and even helpful to the global community concerning the global food sources, could actually be used in a most diabolical way. It, along with some of the other things happening in this world, could ultimately be orchestrated together and used as a form of population control. The implications in all of this seem as if they could head in an extremely diabolical direction on an international level. I don't like it at all. I'm actually thinking of purchasing the DVD of the program to share with family and friends, because I really think people should know. I don't know that we can change any of this, but it sure couldn't hurt to stay informed.

What do you all know about this and where can I read the most accurate information so I can fully understand what is happening here?

Thanks so much -

Nini

Hi girls -

I'm still not sure whether I overreacted to the program I watched or not, but the more research one does, the more interesting - and disconcerting - the facts are, that's for sure. I guess the key really is to stay informed, learn to be as self-sustainable as possible, and try to do the best you can to educate others when you discover this kind of thing. I don't want to be, nor do I mean to be, an alarmist. It's just every day we turn on the news and something else happens that makes us do double and triple takes. My husband and I have said so many times in recent years that which I had heard my grandparents say so many times when they were alive: "I honestly never thought I'd see the day." And yet, here we are.

We must remember that there is a profound difference between good intention and genuine good. One can go terribly awry without ever meaning to so do. The other lives on despite human error. I just pray that mankind will use their God-given talents and wisdom for the good of humanity rather than as a means to nourish hubris and avarice. And I deeply pray for the generations to come.

Keep the faith, girls. :)

Hugs -

Do a google search on purdue birck nanotech center and you will be amazed at the research going on there. A number of years ago I stumbled on their booth at the Ohio State Farm Science Review.

I've been "awake" and following this stuff for the last year. There's the issue of "smart meters" which monitor your electrical usage. The RFID chip ads try to make you believe it's for your safety and health. They will try to scare people that if your child is kidnapped the police will be able to find them right away. They will scare you into thinking you can't get medical treatment without one. There are many who believe the global economy is all orchestrated so that there will be world wide collapse and we can all switch to a global currency. The show of efforts to try and fix the economy is just that, a show. There are new reports of people being unable to withdraw large sums of money or being questioned by the bank about it. Agenda 21 is about getting everyone moved into "stack and pack" housing and taking most of the land out of public use. It's touted as preserving the environment. You might want to read/watch videos on this one unless you like apartment living. There's also the FEMA camp issue. That's to take care of massive protests. Since those were being built in 2006, what do they know that we don't?

Now that you're scared silly, what do you do? Be informed, fight what you can, and live life. Learn to grow your own food and how to do other things. Are you prepared for any of these disasters should they happen?

Nini: I was reading the article you cited, oh.... no, I don't like one thing about this. It made me think about other things that may take place because of this. Scary.

More reason to grow your own or buy from small local farmers.

Well... here's a RECENT article claiming there is no fish gene in these GMO tomatoes... http://www.davisenterprise.com/opinion/letters/no-fish-gene-in-gmo-tomato/ I don't know what to think. I really would feel better if someone could shed more light on the subject!

Thanks so much -

LOL! That's what I'm saying, Marly! Unbelievable! I was scanning some of the different articles online. One person was touting how wonderful this would be for helping diabetics. Okay, I can kind of understand that, but at what price to personal privacy? Another was saying how cool it would be to be able to just scan a person and tell them why they're fat. Really? I mean - REALLY?

I emailed some friends and family about this too. My brother has been corresponding with me all day. He knew about a lot of this stuff but didn't think anyone would listen. He should've known better!!! I'm hoping he can direct me to some reliable informational sites. The more I read up on this stuff, the more unsettled I become, because, like I said, I'm not sure how much of this we can truly change. I just want to be careful to sift the hokey from the reality of it all so I understand what truly is happening and so that my family can be as best prepared as possible. It's kind of sad to think what kind of world our progeny might live in, though, isn't it?

This program I watch often mentions the parable about the frog in the pot of water - and how we are so much like that frog. When a frog is tossed into a pot of boiling water, he'll quickly jump out to save his life. But when he's placed in a pot of water that's at a comfortable temperature, you can slowly turn up the heat and he'll slowly boil without even noticing what is happening. Kinda freaky to think about what's happening to us in those terms, huh?

Well, that is some scary crap! Thanks for the information. I briefly read the article you sited, but the weather is bad here, so my computer is acting up. In one sentence from the article it states, "to track and control human behavior". I have heard that before. Scary. The title of the site says "Scientist", what scientist? The government scientist, US scientist...???????? I'll read the whole article later. Thanks for the info.
