I love, LOVE daffodils..they never fail to lift my winter blues, seeing their sunny little faces always makes my heart sing.."spring is on its way, it is, it is, it truly is"!!!

Please share your first daffodil pictures here for all us to enjoy..

I stopped to get this picture last Sunday morning, they are on a hill behind our local Library, I couldn't get very close but with all the zoom I had (12X) this is what I got!

So are they blooming in your neck of the woods yet?!

Oh, I do love daffodils too! Unfortunately, they do not grow here in northern Florida. When I was growing up, my Mom had them planted in beds in the front of the house and they always were so beautiful and welcomed after a Virginia winter. Thanks for sharing!!

They have been blooming here for a month now. I hope they all don't get frozen tonight being in the low 20's. But hopefully they are not all done yet. It sure does lift the winter spirits to see them, doesn't it?

What a lovely reminder that spring is on it's way, even if it's faster in coming to your neck of the woods.

Thank you for sharing the photo of the daffodils. It is so nice to see the hope of Spring as it is in the single digits here today!

What beautiful dafffodils!!! I love daffodils~ as you said their bright yellow/white/peach and orange colored faces just never cease to amaze me! Although we have had a mild winter here on Long Island, we havent quite gotten to the point of our daffodils blooming...yet. Thank you for sharing that bright spot~ love the picture!

Great pic! My part of the world is still covered with snow but planted several hundred bulbs last yr. Sooo excited to see if they made it thru the winter. Still around 2 months to wait. Anything that brings colour and hope is okay with me.

No daffies in my neck of the woods yet. It is still a bit early, but I would like to see their little green leaves breaking the soil, but not so far. Must be not enough moisture to get them going. I am also waiting for tulips and hyacinths.

Lots of things are budding and blooming, including the daffodils and the Japanese magnolias, because of our warm temps. Even though I only "garden" in pots on the patio, I'm itching to get out there---but I know it's too early and a lot of the blooming vegetation we have is going to be hurt by a cold spell. We're suppose to be down into the middle 20's by Saturday night.
