Posted - Feb 03 2012 : 3:24:11 PM We have always said we would try gardening and now this year we have the space and we just acguired 2 small upright greenhouses to start seedlings. Any advice on gardening for newbies would be greatly appreciated. When should we try and start seeds here in east TN, are there any great seed catalogs, what is easy to grow (lol)? I would love to try growing herbs and berries as well.

Posted - Feb 03 2012 : 3:59:02 PM Kimberly, my go to seed catalogs are: baker creek, victory seeds and southern exposure seed exchange. I start my seeds six weeks before last frost. You can get this info from your county extension office. Have fun!
