That's right! I pulled weeds in my yard this afternoon. I do believe that is the first time in my life that I pulled weeds in February here in the Chicago area!

Part of me was thinking, wow, this is really something. It's been so nice and warm I can actually work in my gardens. The other part me was thinking, oh man even in February the weeds grow here!

Gotta love the Midwest!

I pulled weeds all around my potting shed Monday. I was wore out that nite and went to bed early.

It's another warm day here and the sun is trying it's best to get past the clouds. I am now considering cutting back the perennials that I leave up for winter interest. It is nice enough to begin some spring cleaning out there!

Like any other ILer I'm wondering what Mother Nature has in store for us too!

You Illinois girls have been having some mild weather. We still have snow cover. So thank goodness I can't see any weeds! I have been thinking of getting some seeds ordered.

I know what you mean, I have been looking out at the garden thinking I need to get out there and clean it up. In February?!

There are a lot of weeds in my yard already! I'll have lots of them to pull.

It's been incredible this week, hasn't it? My neighbors snow drops are in bloom and the daffodils at the library are poking through the soil about 2"!

I haven't thought about gardening though. Besides dreaming of planting.

Dawn, my younger gardeners have been asking all week when they get to go start their seeds! I would be thinking the same things you did, plus, if we haven't really had winter yet, is it coming in May?
