I love White Flowers and the contrast with their stem colors. I have found a few but would like some input on what other varieties I could do as well. I found white hollyhocks and white tulips but that is as far as I got. Oh and I found moonflowers but haven't planted any seeds yet. I'd like to have as 3 season flower garden monochromatic with white so any advice would be appreciated. We are on the border of zone 4-5. Thanks in advance!

I love white flowers too, Krystle. Here are some of my favorites organized by season:

Spring: Daffodil, Narcissus, Snowdrops, Anemone blanda, Lilly of the Valley, Dicentra, Cornus canadensis, Primroses, Candytuft, Alyssum

Summer: Hydrangea, Lillium orientale, Shasta Daisy, Astilbe, Mock Orange, Solomon's Seal, Viola, Potentilla, Rock Rose, Siberian Iris, Columbine, Nicotiana, Impatiens, Hardy Fuchsia

Fall/Winter: Winter Pansies, Helleborus, Anemone japonica, Aster, Chrysanthemum

Some other ideas for plants with colors in your desired range are: Variegated Hostas, White Periwinkle, Variegated Pachysandra and Silver Queen Euonymus. Trees include Dogwood, Crab Apple, Flowering Cherry, Stewartia, Flowering Pear, Magnolia and Styrax.

Hope this sparks some inspiration....have fun with your garden!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn
