For the first time in a hundred years I am on top of getting my seeds almost on time. I will probably have to go ahead and stop by the garden center to get some to start indoors by January 1st. Here's what I got from Baker Creek:

Purple Podded Pole Bean, Atomic Red Carrots, Strawberry Popcorn, Thompson Prolific Corn, Lemon Cucumber, Di Firenze Fennel, RockyTop Lettuce, Merveille Des Quantre Saisons Lettuce, Mignonette Bronze Lettuce, Orange Bell Peppers, Early Scarlet Globe radish, Five Color Silver Beet Chard, Black Cherry Tomatoes, Black from Tula Tomatoes, and Moon and Stars Watermelon

Still have a few others to order from another catalog. How about you?

Kim, we have been ordering from Totally Tomatoes for 8 years and are very happy with their seeds. If you are looking for a tiny tomato you might want to try the red current tomato, it gets about 5-6 ft tall and in June (and most of the summer)it is covered in flowers and the tomatoes are very tiny about the size of your fingernail with a flavor that is amazing. It just bursts in your mouth and they are very sweet. It's like tomato popcorn. Continually puts on till frost. This plant will volunteer the next year so plant it were that won't be a problem.

I have been finalizing my garden plans today, so I should be ordering seeds soon. We are moving into a house again for the first time in three years, and we know we are going to be there a while, so I can finally plan some decent beds and decent harvests! I am getting so stupid excited! With luck, I will be getting four harvests this year. There will be just enough time to get unpacked and settled before the peas go in!

My house is for sale, so this is the first year in ages that I won't be ordering seeds. I always grow flowers and vegetables inside, but not this year. I have not opened my seed catalogs because it does make me sad that I won't be ordering anything this year.

I do however enjoy hearing about the farmgirls ordering & successes of whatever they grow from seed. So, please keep us informed on her your seedlings do once you start them!

WOW! That's great! I don't have to start seeds until March... so I get to peruse the catalogs a bit more. I love Baker Creek! Great seeds, great people! I haven't gotten my catalog from them yet either, but we did move this year...

Happy ordering and dreaming! :)

Hi Kim,

I haven't ordered from Totally Tomatoes but a great cherry tomato is Matt's Wild Cherry. It produces like crazy and is very sweet :)

I haven't heard of Totally Tomatoes before Kim - now I'm going to have to check it out. Two years ago I started tomatoes from seed and tried 11 kinds - I figure there's always room for more tomatoes. I didn't do any tiny ones though - ended up buying a hanging basket full of Sungolds for snacking:)

Lol... I have my wish list started from baker creek, and have chosen some of the same seeds. Has anyone ever ordered from totally tomatoes? I'm looking for a prolific tiny, very sweet tomato. Any suggestions?

Oy! Grace. Our last frost date will be around mid March so I have to think ahead. I want to get many things started inside, like the tomatoes.

Finished ordering from Landreth Seeds:

Southern Collards, Blue Hopi Corn, Black Krim Tomatoes, German Red Strawberry Tomatoes, Isis Candy Tomatoes, Great Northern Beans, Cosmic Carrots, Long Purple Eggplant, Osaka Purple Mustard Greens, American Purple Top Rutabaga, Sugar Baby Watermelon, Mammoth Sunflowers, and Calendula.
