Posted - Oct 19 2011 : 08:34:31 AM A few days ago I was headed to work and noticed my leaf lettuce and had a thought that I would be able to pick some soon and use it. When I got home that evening the leaves had holes in them. I found little green worms all over my lettuce. How can I get rid of them without contaminating the lettuce? Does anyone know?

Posted - Oct 19 2011 : 10:53:13 AM Okay I'm back . Most of what I read said to use organic pesticides. I hope this helps. And I think it was dawn dish washing detergent that I was told to use.

Posted - Oct 19 2011 : 10:46:45 AM I have been told to just mix dish detergent with some water and spray on them. I wonder if vinegar would also work!! People do use it on salads. Are there to many to pick off by hand and squash? I have never gotten worms on my lettuce before. On my other veggies I just use 7 dust. Hum have to think on this one. I think it was a certain kind of dish detergent. Let me ask around and see what I can come up with. Good luck with it.
