My corn seeds have sprouted and we have inch high corn today!! I am so excited! Corn can grow so fast and I plan on giving it as much water as it wants. It's in the sunniest part of the yard with black weed control fabric so it is warm and sunny. I can't wait until it really starts growing! Tomorrow I am planting my red sweet corn so that we have a staggered harvest.

JenI can't wait until mine is that high! It's hard to imagine at this point because it seems so far away- but I know corn is quick growing and sometimes can grow as much as 5 inches in a day!! We'll see what my little garden can do I guess! :)

Mine is chest high.
The temp is hitting 115 tomorrow and I'm praying my mister can keep the crop cool enough that the the stalks will fruit up despite the heat

Mikki- you are so lucky! Mine are just now making that funnel shape on the top as the leaves are growning but haven't seperated off yet. I can't wait until they get bigger. I think they are just going to take off and grow like crazy. I keep wondering if we will hit the "knee high by fourth of july" mark.

Sounds yummy...mine is a few inches tall now and I hope it does well. I have deer that keeps munching on the corn and beans...ugh
