Well, I have to say that my year isn't going well. Been too hot and too dry.

I am ready to give up on veggies. The herbs are doing ok.

How is it where you are?

It has been a bad year for my garden. No rain and early heat has caused my garden to not produce much. I water with the hose/sprinklers but it's no substitute for life-giving rain water.
I've got some small potatoes, small to medium tomatoes. My peppers are doing well but they seem to do well anyway. It's sad because this year I really put a lot of work into preparation of the soil, picking out the plants, and early-on care of them.

I have to say that mine is so very slow so far. It's been so hot and dry here that I am having to water every day. But I did finaly see a squash blossom! ANd I have seen a few green beans. AND I did get a big ripe tomato the other day plus some cherry tomatoes too!! But the corn is so short still. And the cucumbers are just a few inches long. The sweet potatoes are really taking off. They are all headed toward each other and they are catching up. Also have seen some beets. So I do have things growing but it's so slow to me for some reason.

Amy, don't give up. I came home today and my squash were all shriveled up they were so hot and dry. Then the clouds came and we got a little shower and it cooled off. But I was ready to give up too. Then that happened. So go out and plant something!

We are finally seeing some growth. The full moon made everything pop and things are starting to come up, not as much as I hoped. My herbs aren't doing as well. Cilantro and dill is not coming in yet.
