With all this talk about tomatoes, I thought I would share a trick I learned this past month. Usually I put my seedling pots in a bathroom window in the house. They get steamy air and lots of light. However, right now my art/drafting table is free of projects. So I put two trays of seedling plants on the table under my art lamp. I leave it on 24 hours a day and my seedling plants are loving it. I guess I will just have to quilt elsewhere, and forget using my magnifiying part of the lamp. I have to baby my new little garden plants! I have two dozen tomato plants, and 2 dozen broccoli plants basking in the light. If you do not have a hothouse or a special place to grow your seed plants, you may want to try your craft lamp!
