I acquired a vintage WWII Victory Gardening booklet called Have A Victory Garden at an estate sale a while ago. My blog is sort of vintage themed, so I decided to scan it and post it on my blog. Every Saturday (starting today) for the next month I'll post a PDF file free for download with 17 pages (each) of the booklet. By the time it's done you'll have the complete booklet. I found it really interesting and actually pretty cool.

I thought I'd mention it here as MJF seems to have a kind of vintage feel to it too and I thought it might be of interest to some of you.

I'm so glad that everyone is enjoying them and finding them useful. Tansy that is cool. I've only seen this one really so It's likely there could be other versions. I figured it was okay to post because the International Harvester company no longer exists.

Jenny, I think I have one of those too. It looks almost exactly the same as mine only with a different cover.

Thanks so much WalkinWalkout! I liked your blog too! I actually got inspired by your violet jelly post to find a recipe that took closer to TWO cups of flowers (I didn't feel like standing out in the rain we were having long enough to get 4 packed cups worth! LOl) and tried it out! It is great!

That's neat! I just downloaded one for my Kindle, but is it really hard to read. The font is really small, but it is cute!

We try to do all old varieties of veg. We planted one hybrid last year, a lemon boy tomato, but this year we've gone all heirloom! Its so fun to see how things used to be done and then to try to do it that way yourself.

thanks for the download. As I read the the basics, there is some good info that people need to know. As I looked through the list of veggie names, there were a few I was familiar with, but I think many have been replaced with the hybrid types. I also found it interesting in the list of how long seed remained good. Very helpful. Thank you for sharing!
