Posted - May 14 2011 : 09:47:46 AM My dad planted strawberries for the first time a while back, and they're producing like crazy. Yesterday I canned 24 half-pints and 22 pints of jam! I put pictures up on my blog just now.

Posted - May 14 2011 : 7:59:51 PM I'm planning on sharing GOOT soon...it's great stuff! I made it a long time ago and we used it all up, but my brother has been bugging me to make it again. He's a blacksmith and is forever getting burned, so he keeps some in his shop. I took pictures last time I made it so I could post it...it's just getting it up now1
Thanks for the comments! I always post links here, and then forget and go post another blog...so sometimes you have to scroll down to get to the post I was talking about. Oops!

Posted - May 14 2011 : 12:02:24 PM WOW! That's a lot of strawberries! No matter where we have lived, ours never got any bigger then about the size of a bobbin. Ours never really turn red either, they go from bright yellow/gree to shrivled and dead. We decided to give them one more try last year, they seemed to be doing good but then our cocker spaniel figured out how to get into the pots and ate them all! LOL
