My Grand-daughter Madeline with her new watering-can from Ganmama

"My garden will never make me famous,
I'm a horticultural ignoramus,
I can't tell a string bean from a soybean,
Or even a girl bean from a boy bean."
~Ogden Nash

"Happy is said to be the Family which can eat onions together."
~Chas. Dudley Warner

My little postage stamp garden that I just planted
It isn't the size of the garden that matters...for God gives the increase. This little garden patch always feeds my husband and me,
two of my grown sons and their households and many of my Neighbors.

Blessings to All Farmgirls Everywhere,

Thanks Farmgirls...Grand-daughters and Gardening...life just doesn't get any better than that!
Both Parcels are small but full of "charm" and "sweetness". I am doing the planting (spiritual) in the
g-daughter and literally in the garden...and I trust God to give the increase and the Bountiful Harvest.

I sent Madeline a little book about gardening with the watering can. Hint-Hint for all you Farmgirl Grandmas...
Barnes and Noble carries them. Her daddy helped her plant a couple of packets of seeds at home. And grandmama
planted some baby pumpkins in my garden for her to tend to when she is here and to harvest and take home to
Seattle.

These small things...are really the BIG JOYS of Life!

blessings,
~peggy

Peggy, I just sat & looked at Madeline and her curled hair, her rolled-up jeans and her pretty watering can. With her picture and your raised bed, I just smiled. I saw your garden "Knick-knacks." which always brighten up a spot. My garden's only difference (besides the fact, I don't have raised beds) is that I have many more green things growing called weeds. Thanks for the wonderful pictures. Just love them.

Oh my goodness, she is SO adorable!! The garden is very cute too, colorful and sweet. Great pics and cute poem.

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Madeline is just ADORABLE, Peggy! She, herself, must be poetry in motion! :) I love the verses - and your garden - too! Thank you for sharing! Hugs - Nini

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
