I don't think there is any sweeter smell than apple blossoms in the Spring. I was outside feeding the animals and kept smelling something so good. Then realized it was my apple trees in full bloom. Man, do they smell wonderful! And it's not anything that any perfume company can copy either. Not even close to the real smell. It just makes a person feel good.

Yes, they are beautiful and I can smell them all the way here. Thanks for posting the picture, Jackie.

I just got done dusting my 3 little trees. Almost all the leaves have been eaten by these little caterpillars. Whenever I see them I knock them off and step on them. So hopefully this dust will kill them. It is too late for apples from them now because the blossoms were all eaten too. But I already see little tiny apples on the 3 older trees.

And my pear trees are loaded with pretty little red pears!! I had to cut on the biggest pear tree because it looks like it has fire blight again. I think it's because they are at the lower end of the property and when it reains that floods. So they are in water too long. Anyway, I hope to get at least a few ripe juicy pears this fall.

I mowed down around the 3 newer apple trees yesterday. They are all in bloom too! So I will have 6 apple trees this year to pick from. We will be making lots of apple cider in the fall.

Also went to check on my 3 pear trees. I had a time with them last year. They had fire blight. I had to cut alot off them. But so far they are looking good and they are absolutely LOADED with blossoms. I am getting nervous now. I am so afraid we will have a killing frost sometime soon. I sure hope we don't. But it's still so early here. Ya just never know what can happen.

I love lilacs too. A friend has some bushes and she said they all the time have little ones popping up. I am going to get some from her.

I don't know if I have ever smelled orange blossoms. I love the orange juice commercial. I only buy Florida orange juice. now.

Hi Kris, I wish I had some of them to cut and bring into my house! I Love cut flowers of any kind in my house. Right now I have a small bouquet of Lilacs on my kitchen island - enjoying every minute of them! Another scent that can't be put into a bottle :( !

Hi Kris,
I love the smell of the orange blossoms here. Same thing no one could ever copy that smell. They were in bloom last month. Not much smell left now. Another day! Another year!

Oh Kristin: What we would'nt do for that smell about now. Our spring is not here yet, still much snow on the ground. But we can dream. Enjoy!
