Posted - Mar 06 2011 : 06:22:50 AM it is an heirloom lettuce. I can't seem to locate it on-line. Can anyone help me? Is there another name for it (I don't want "trout speckles").

Posted - Mar 13 2011 : 10:39:38 AM I was going to reply that Territorial has it but see others have beat me to it. I always make sure to buy the drunken frizzy-headed woman seeds too.

Posted - Mar 06 2011 : 07:22:53 AM Kristina- I do not know where to find that one, but I would like to reccomend an herloom called: Forellenschluss. It is green speckled with red/burgandy spots and has a great flavor. There is always a spot in my garden and greenhouse for this one. In fact in the decription given by Baker Creek Seeds and Seeds of Change it says the name means "speckled like a trout". This variety is available through Seeds of Change and Baker Creek Seeds as a leaf variety or Seed Savers Exchange as a head variety. I have grown both and once again highly reccomend it.
