can anyone guide me to a chart that shows average crop yield per plant? Our family is joining forces with my brother in-law's family this year and doing a family garden. I'm trying to research how much we should plant so we dno't have too much or not enough.

thanks!

Thank you for referring us to this chart, Sheri - it's actually been very helpful to me in planning my garden this year! Hugs - Nini

Here is a link to a chart that figures based on a family of 4 http://gardening.about.com/od/vegetable1/a/How-Much-Plant_2.htm

I know there are a few sites that can give you that information if google for them. Some of the colleges and extension offices have that kind of info as well. My daughter found some plants listed that way in some of the info books from 4H.

I have a book called square foot gardening that had some plants listed that way as well so you could decide what would provide the best yeild for small space gardening.

I hope that helps.
