Posted - May 26 2010 : 11:36:51 AM I bought the Rocky Top lettuce mix from Baker's Seeds this spring, and have to say I am very pleased with it! It is a mix of reds and greens, some flat leaf, some curly leaf. It germinated nicely, and is so easy to thin and harvest. We've been eating salads every day for a week now, I love it! I am definitely going to keep using this every year! So far, all my other heirloom seeds are doing good too!

Posted - May 27 2010 : 06:45:31 AM Pretty mix! It makes me want a salad. I didnt get my lettuce and spinach out this year and I'm sad about it. Next year I will for sure. Agree that heirloom are best, too. Happy salad eating:)

Posted - May 26 2010 : 7:19:04 PM That looks so good, Brenda. I love the spring mix. I got the mesclun mix this time and hate it. To me it is just nasty. I don't like the spiciness of it. So I will not get it again and stick to the spring mix.

Posted - May 26 2010 : 2:21:52 PM Nice looking lettuce! I got almost all my seeds from Baker Creek this year too and I have been very pleased. I will have to try the lettuce mix this fall. I grew some red and green leaf lettuce but I bought the seeds at the hardware store kinda spur of the moment.
